It has always fascinated me, "The Baroque vanitas culture", "Memento Mori" and the most impressive and best known symbol for life and decay, the human skeleton.

My studio skeleton, "Gilgalad" helps me to express and to realize my work.
"He" is always an enormous inspiration.

As an obsessive daydreamer its my aim to transform my visions and ideas into paintings, giving life to my hybrid creatures, voodoo dolls, dark portraits of the natural world, and offering my own interpretation of mythological and biblical subjects.

Music is another driving force I can not work without. Music makes me paint faster, meditate deeper and concentrate harder.

But after all, don`t get me wrong, my work celebrates LIFE not DEATH.
